Model Railway Show - Woodbridge School - Saturday 26th August

A massive Model Railway Show is steaming into Woodbridge on Saturday 26th August – the perfect opportunity for fans both young and old to see more than 20 model railway layouts in a variety of scales from the tiny Z gauge to the classic O Gauge.

The event, a first of its kind in Woodbridge, is being held from 10am to 4.30pm at The Dome in Woodbridge School and is tipped to be one of the largest ever in the East of England!

With a strong railway heritage in Woodbridge this is bound to be a popular event and will be a great opportunity for people to enjoy nostalgia in miniature, to learn about a new potential past time or simply appreciate the care taken to create a Model Railway.

The event is being supported by clubs and modellers from around the East with layouts including:

• Cato Pass Sci-Fi: Sci-fi railway - the first one of it’s kind.

• Railways and Warhammer within a space theme.

• St Stevens: GWR branch line, making it's exhibition debut.

• Wendsleydale: an amusing Model Railway based on a Cheese production plant with animation to enhance the interest for the public.

• Snow in the Glen: a snow winter scene on a narrow gauge in Scotland!

• Circleton Village - this is a great opportunity to control a layout and support a charity at the same time - Steve Hughes will be fundraising for the Air Ambulance and the group will be supporting him with the cause. Steve goes above and beyond with his charitable work and is a real inspiration to us all!

There’s free parking on-site at the school.

Admission is Adults £5.00, Children £2 and Family £12.00.
