					Woodbridge Lights Up for Christmas!
The festive season begins in Woodbridge as the town comes alive with sparkle, song, and celebration for the annual Lights On festivities!
This year’s event, organised by Woodbridge Festival of Art and Music and Woodbridge Town Council in partnership with Choose Woodbridge, promises two magical evenings filled with live entertainment, delicious food, and festive fun for all ages.
Join the celebrations on Thursday 27 November 2025 at Shire Hall, Church Street, and the Thoroughfare, and again on Friday 28 November 2025 at Whisstocks Place and Tide Mill Way. Both evenings run from 4pm, with the official Lights On at 6pm.
Enjoy a feast of family-friendly street food, featuring German sausages, doughnuts, burgers, Jamaican and Korean dishes, mac ‘n’ cheese, Otis Breading, and Reubens from Melton, along with mulled wine to keep you cosy.
Music and merriment will fill the streets with the return of the East Angles brass band, Christmas carol sing choir, lively street performers, lantern street procession through the town, community art projections and a creative art workshop for all ages to enjoy.
The legendary Geno Washington will switch on the lights and then perform a live set from 7:45pm outside Shire Hall — an unforgettable highlight of the evening.
This event also marks the first late-night shopping evening for Woodbridge’s wonderful independent shops — the perfect chance to pick up unique gifts and support local businesses while soaking up the festive atmosphere.
Come along, bring the family, and celebrate the start of Christmas in Woodbridge — a community tradition full of warmth, light, and local spirit!
